The Factory Permission Bundle extends Pimcore’s native permission system by introducing structured control over attribute-level access and workflow-state permissions.

In Pimcore environments with multiple roles, workflows, and complex data models, managing permissions through standard layouts alone can become difficult to maintain. The bundle provides a centralized way to configure granular attribute permissions across Pimcore classes, roles, and workflow stages.

Administrators can define permission rules directly inside the Pimcore backend interface. For larger permission matrices, permissions can also be exported into a predefined Excel template, edited externally, and imported back into Pimcore. This enables structured updates and easier governance in environments with many attributes and roles.
